MUGU

Rara National Park, Nepal’s smallest and most scenic national park that spreads over an area of 106 sq km is situated about 370 km north- west of Kathmandu and lies in Mugu a mountainous district of the western region of Nepal. The National Park ascends from 1800m to 4480m forested by conifers. The pivotal of Rara National Park is the pristine Rara Lake, which stands high at the self of 2990m and spreads over 10.8 sq km. More than 500 different kinds of flowers and herbs including Rhododendron, the national flower, Black Juniper, Oak, West Himalayan Spruce and Himalayan Cypress are found in this Park. It is the home of 20 different species of mammals.


Sinja Valley:

Kakre Bihar:

Kakre Bihar is a Hindu-Buddhist Temple Near from Birendranagar. This temple is believed to be built on 12th century. It is made by solid stone with attractive bronze Idols of Hindu gods and goddess along Buddha. This place is also famous for its natural beauty. It is situated over a small mountain. It is located in Latikoili VDC in Surkhet.

This place is also known as Buddha Bihar (Bihar means area/place). This place attracts every community from every part of country to see its rich art and for trekking. Green jungle and many species of birds are main attraction of Kakre Bihar. Many sagas about Kakre Bihar are famous among people of Surkhet. According to local villagers, Mahabharat’s Heroes-“The Pandavas”, came here, built cottage for their living and passed their Banbas Period (hiding themselves from other people). It has a shape like seed of cucumber thus it is called Kakre bihar, it’s yet another mythological value about its name.

Bulbule Taal (Lake)


Bulbule is a very beautiful and impressive public park in Surkhet. It has a very wide and clean area for picnic and walking. This Garden is located in Latikoili VDC in Surkhet. Very close to Surkhet Bus Park and opposite to Birendra Multiple campus. Park is full of various types of roses, imported flowers and attractive green grasses. A nominal fee for entrance is charged to general public. 

Well-trimmed and straight standing trees on both side of main entrance look very impressive. A small pond welcomes the visitor which is full of fishes. This pond is source of natural water spring which comes in the form of bubbles. On the left side of pond two huge public bathing places are there which are always busy. One of them is for gents and another for ladies where people always wash clothes and takes bath. 

ITINERARY 


Day 01: Kathmandu to Surkhet drive 13 hour by private jeep/bus, lunch on the way. Dinner at hotel and overnight at Surkhet.
Day 02: Early morning after breakfast, drive to Kalikot lunch on the way. Dinner at hotel and over night at Kalikot.

Day 03: Again early morning after breakfast, drive to Mathillo Mili Rara, lunch on the way. Drive past through Sinja Valley and Pandu Gufa for breath taking scenery. Trek around two and half hour to RARA Taal. Dinner and overnight at hotel in front of beautiful Rara Taal.

Day 04: After breakfast full day sightseeing at Rara (trekking, boating) and lunch at hotel. Dinner and over night at Rara in front of beautiful Taal.

Day 05: After breakfast, trek to Mathillo Mili Rara for around two and half hour, Lunch on the way. Drive back to Kalikot on same day. Dinner and overnight at Jumla Hotel.

Day 06: After breakfast, drive back to Surkhet, Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Surkhet.
Day 07: After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Bulbul Taal and Kakre Bihar, Lunch on the way. Drive back to Kathmandu with everlasting memories of the trip.
